Inspired by the worker bee, who participates and contributes to his hive with joy, to build something bigger than he could ever accomplish alone. Kibbutz Devorah aims to empower its members by providing them with skills such as framing and horticulture, skills in industry with regards to factory and management work as well as a full education so that should they choose to leave the kibbutz they are equipped with the necessary skills to pursue careers outside the kibbutz. Additionally, the kibbutz provides an opportunity for a brighter future for the underprivileged people of South Africa as it provides an opportunity for guaranteed work which will in return provide them with free accommodation, food, education and health benefits.
